چکیده

Transcutaneous energy transfer system (TETS) is one of the methods to supply electric power an assisted heart. In this study, we analyzed effects fields in body on biological tissues around TETS. Using electromagnetic field simulator, tissue models consisting Dry-Skin, Wet-Skin, Fat, and Muscle were fabricated. When frequency was fixed at 400 kHz transmission distance 20 mm, analysis conducted by changing transmitting coils from 2 4 layers receiving 1 order suppress strength inside body. The results showed that lowest internal observed coils, maximum 77.07 V/m. This result below occupational International Commission Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) guideline.

The effects of electromagnetic fields on fish

The objective of this paper is to survey the results of studies on the biological effects of electromagnetic fields on fish. First, the basic concepts of electromagnetism and electromagnetic spectrum and the importance of studying it in the case of fish are discussed. Then a summary of the results obtained on the effects of extremely low frequency electromagnetic fields (ELF-EMFs) and radiofreq...

Beneficial effects of electromagnetic fields.

Selective control of cell function by applying specifically configured, weak, time-varying magnetic fields has added a new, exciting dimension to biology and medicine. Field parameters for therapeutic, pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMFs) were designed to induce voltages similar to those produced, normally, during dynamic mechanical deformation of connective tissues. As a result, a wide variety...

Biological effects of electromagnetic fields.

Life on earth has evolved in a sea of natural electromagnetic (EM) fields. Over the past century, this natural environment has sharply changed with introduction of a vast and growing spectrum of man-made EM fields. From models based on equilibrium thermodynamics and thermal effects, these fields were initially considered too weak to interact with biomolecular systems, and thus incapable of infl...

Developmental effects of electromagnetic fields.

This paper reviews experimental studies on the effects of radiofrequency (RF), extremely low frequency (ELF), and intermediate frequency (IF) electromagnetic fields on animal development. Numerous studies have shown that RF fields are teratogenic at exposure levels sufficiently high to cause significant increase of temperature. There is no consistent evidence of RF field effects at nonthermal e...

Radiofrequency Electromagnetic Fields: Carcinogenic and Other Biological Effects

In the electromagnetic spectrum, structural damage to living tissues per unit of absorbed energy tends to increase with the decrease of a wavelength which is evident not only for ultraviolet and ionizing radiation but also for the infrared and visible light. By causing thermal damage after absorbing energies that would be harmless for radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (EMF), tissues are eve...
